It is really necessary for us, the spectators, to observe the game of GMs versus machines... these games are very fun and represent a great lesson... personally watching the GMs play against LeelaQueenOdds; I find it fascinating at levels 1-0 and similar. How greatly we miss our GMs and their games in the cyberworld.reflectionofpower wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:07 am I have been looking all over and nothing comes up like it used to, weird?
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

It is necessary for me as I am looking for 2 games I played against Shirov when he was in the top 5 of the world at the time on ICC. It was 2 games verse Chess Genius 3. First one was an Evans Gambit which CG3 won and the other I can not recall but he beat us that game. I knew I stored them somewhere but I cannot find them at this time and I know I have snagged them online somewhere.
It will much appreciated.

What you are looking for?reflectionofpower wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 5:11 pm What's weird is that I had no problem finding it before. Now, nothing! I will keep looking. Thx
Historical games of strong GM's against chess engines are easy to find.
For example you can find all games of Kasparov against Deep blue in this link

Re: Looking for chess programs vs Strong GM's
well i found already three (other) Shirov games, in 2000 and 2001
two against Fritz/"Comp Fritz/Primergy K800" (Frankfurt rapid)
and one against "Comp Shredder 5.31"(in 2001) Berlin rapid.
here's the game he lost (Fritz - Shirov) , 1-0
[pgn] 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. exd5 exd5 4. Nf3 Nf6 5. Bd3 Bd6 6. O-O O-O 7. Bg5 Bg4 8. Nbd2 Nbd7 9. c4 c6 10. c5 Bc7 11. Qc2 h6 12. Bh4 g5 13. Bg3 Nh5 14. Bxc7 Qxc7 15. Rfe1 Rfe8 16. Bh7+ Kg7 17. h3 Be6 18. Bd3 Nf4 19. Re3 f6 20. Rae1 Bf7 21. Bf5 Nf8 22. a3 Rxe3 23. fxe3 Nh5 24. e4 Re8 25. e5 Ne6 26. b4 Nhf4 27. g3 Ng6 28. Nb3 fxe5 29. dxe5 Nef8 30. Qc3 Kg8 31. Qe3 Be6 32. then there are (besides the well known Kramnik Fritz games) some Deep Junior game
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human%E2% ... ss_matches
and in 2005 some Fritz/Hydra games
https://en.chessbase.com/post/8-4-final ... what-next-
and in 2008/9 there were some tourns in Argentina won by Pocket Fritz
but i haven't seen the games, only the tourn results eg:
https://theweekinchess.com/html/twic718.html#12
Nowadays, with the strongest Nnue programs, (contrary to Uri B) i think
that even the top super GM''s don't stand a chance, which is
also reason for them not to play, i suppose (with time odds
some of them might be able to draw, 90/30 for them, and eg. one
sec /move for the engine); would be no fun to play/nor watch.

I never claimed that the top GM's have a chance to beat the strongest nnue engines and I think you confuse me with another Urijefk wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 5:36 pm well i found already three (other) Shirov games, in 2000 and 2001

This Uri who claimed humans will always be better is not me:

He claimed that computers are always going to be better in the following subject and I remember also earlier and I did not see the point of discussing something that is obviously wrong so I did not reply.
