The reason I ask is because I've been burnt by Dell and others in the past and Apple (for a monsterous fee admitedly) do look after their customers.
Rumor has it that Apple works on its own server M-series for generative AI, maybe in some years we will see a decent Mac Pro/Studio for running neural networks...

Followup....
There is Apple Rosetta 2, to run x86 binaries in M-series macOS, does currently not support AVX++ according to Apple documentation.
There is MS Prism, to run x86 binaries in Windows for Arm, AVX2 support looks experimental according to web.
There is Parallels x86 emulation, as of Jan 2025 still a preview according to web.
Now Idk what your Windows in Paralles utilizes to run x86 binaries.

We had the same reason.
That's why we bought Apple.
That's why you should buy Apple but first wait 3-5 months for the much stronger MacBook M5 MAX and the Mac Studio M5 ULTRA.
Apple MacBook Pro M5 MAX + Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, ChatGTP... discussion viewtopic.php?p=979291#p979291

My recommendation, find an established, local system builder who builds a workstation with standard parts for you.

If you choose a regional system builder you can be/make sure they use common
standard parts like case/cooling/MB/PSU and replace them by yourself. This may
not be the case with tier 1 prebuild systems...

Local builder...probably wouldn't appeal, it's too much money to gamble and the build quality would be below Dell etc. But a national-level firm might be the best compromise.
