LeelaPieceOdds upgraded
The LeelaPieceOdds bot was upgraded over the last few days to use a new net by "Lucario6607" and "Naca Fox" for all the multi piece odds not including removal of the queen, except for four minor piece odds. It was trained as a rook odds net, but although it didn't prove to be superior to the current one for rook odds, it is stronger at odds like two knights, two bishops, rook and knight, two rooks, three minors, and rook plus two minors than the previously used queen odds net. The gain seems to be about a hundred elo on average, a bit more for the smaller handicaps, a bit less for the larger ones, at least against human-simulating bots, and already it has played 22 games at odds of two minors (mostly two knights) with both colors against players rated around 2400 on Lichess or even higher, at a variety of time controls from 2'1" up to 10'5", and hasn't lost a single one, just three draws! This is rather amazing. When the bot was first created it was expected to be competitive with players around 2400 Lichess blitz giving them knight odds at around 5'3", now it is crushing them overwhelmingly giving TWO knights! Also, some other odds are now playable with this bot, though you have to paste in the FEN yourself. These include bishop odds (either one, both colors), King's rook odds (both colors), Rook plus pawn odds (queen's rook plus "f" pawn, both colors), Queen for (queen's) rook odds (both colors), and Bishop plus Knight Odds (one from each wing, both colors).

Good evening, Mr. Larry Kaufman and the LeelaOdds team. Thank you very much for letting us play against the robots. Good morning, Mr. Larry Kaufman and Mr. Uri Blass. Today is a special day for me, chess-wise. I won a bullet game without a time increment against the robot LeelaQueenOdds. I've played nine thousand eighty-nine thousand nine hundred and eighty-nine matches against QueenOdds. And today I won my second game. Then I thought: To whom should I dedicate this game? And I thought: To Mr. Larry Kaufman and Mr. Uri Blass, who are and have been for me examples of enthusiastic and motivated souls in the game, science, and computing. I wish you a happy day. Sincerely, Pablo Ignacio Restrepo.lkaufman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 4:52 am The LeelaPieceOdds bot was upgraded over the last few days to use a new net by "Lucario6607" and "Naca Fox" for all the multi piece odds not including removal of the queen, except for four minor piece odds. Re: LeelaPieceOdds upgraded
Error. Please excuse my error regarding the number of games I've played against the robot LeelaQueenOdds. I entered an "astronomical" sum; in reality, I've only played 9,089 games against the machine in the last few months. Happy day again to you and everyone in the chat.Father wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 3:10 pmGood morning, Mr. Larry Kaufman and Mr. Uri Blass. Today is a special day for me, chess-wise.
