Re: Details about Leela Chalange in Jerusalem
Looks interesting!
Suggestions:
1. Provide a date
2. Put up a web page - ideally with a live updating results section (a shared Google spreadsheet will do fine - no need to become a web design expert)
3. Use a chatbot or https://translate.google.com/ to do your translation and just have a human check it

Human chess is partly about tactics and strategy, but mostly about memory

Re: Details about Leela Chalange in Jerusalem
I see that I simply forgot to copy the line of the date to here.
I also did not like the translation but here is the automatic translation of what I wrote earlier in hebrew:
It use the word four instead of odds(I replace the word four with the word odds everywhere and corrected another unclear sentence and here is the result(not sure if 5 nines of this is clear and maybe it is better to write simply 5/9 of this):
♟ Leela Challenge in Jerusalem – 29.11.2025 | 17:30 ♟
18 players. Two games against Leela in a version adapted to play with Odds.
Odds: Rook A1 in the first game.
If you don't win – a second game also with Rook Odds.
If you do win – you choose to play against Leela without a knight B1 or G1.
Prize pool: 9,000 NIS to 18,000 NIS
Maximum prizes for success (guaranteed minimum prize of at least 5 nines of this):
– Win in the first game: 900 NIS
– Draw in the first game: 300 NIS
– Win in the second game: 600 NIS (or 900 NIS if night without a knight)
– Draw in the second game: 200 NIS (or 300 NIS if night without a knight)
Players may win less – depending on the number of participants and prizes.
(Example: If all 18 participants win twice – the prize will be 1000 NIS per person and not 1800 per person)
🎟 Special reservation of places for:

I posted the location in the Leela discord and I think there is no problem.
The Leela team do not need to be physically in the location and I do not believe there is going to be a problem with the location.

Re: Details about Leela Chalange in Jerusalem
translation of the words of the club manager Alon Cohen in a dialogue with me about it:
Alon Cohen Revivo: It's close to the city center
At the Oranim intersection
Uri Blass: So to answer that it's not true that Palestinians need a special permit because it's East Jerusalem, right?
Alon Cohen Revivo: Very true
Alon Cohen Revivo: It's between Emek Refaim Street and Pierre Kooning Street
Alon Cohen Revivo: Anyone who wants to come in is welcome.
Alon Cohen Revivo: Very simple.

Re: Details about Leela Chalange in Jerusalem
The AI answer came back that its an important jewish religious site (The Four Synagogues) in the heart of the jewish quarter. Palestinians from the West Bank (not East Jerusalem) require a military permit (not easy to get). Getting into the area requires submitting to apartheid based military security.Uri Blass wrote: ↑Mon Nov 10, 2025 6:54 pm translation of the words of the club manager Alon Cohen in a dialogue with me about it:

Do you have Palestinian players? Have you invited any?

I did not invite Palestinian players but if they are strong enough or want to donate money to the event they can play from my point of view.
