The tournament was fun as usual!
rofChade won the tournament, this was more or less expected.
Arasan ended on the second place, and there were 7 engines with 5.5 points, this is too close to call.
Amazing is that Nightmare on a single core from the Intel N100 (6 Watt) processor did just as good as his big brother on the AMD 9960X Threadripper, talking about luck.

I think the huge books is a bit of an equaliser there ! Very impressive.

To be honest I'd rather not see two Nightmares and two Goldbars there despite the big hardware difference, but it is your tournament. At one point they were needed to boost the numbers, but that generally isn't the case now.

Arasan played a nice pawn sacrifice against Nightmare. I was watching the game and thinking the position looked locked up and was headed for a draw, but appearances can be deceptive. f4! here opens things up and gives advantage to White:

Well done - NightmareX is not easy to win against.

I was watching this game too, Nightmare didn't expect the pawn sacrifice at all, after the sacrifice it took one or two more moves before Nightmare actually saw it's score dropping. Somehow Nightmare has difficulties with Arasan, two months ago Nightmare lost from Arasan too.

In the past I added these two engines because there were not enough participants to run a Swiss tournament with 9 rounds. The chance that Nightmare draws atomNightmare is very big because it's the same engine (albeit 50 times slower), so it's disadvantageous for Nightmare too. Next time I will tell Lisebeth not to add the atom engines to the tourney.
