Hey everyone!
I'm working on a chess engine and could really use some help from actual players. I've been running it as a Lichess bot (GyatsoBot), and so far it's only played against other bots – which isn't giving me the full picture.
Check it out here: https://lichess.org/@/GyatsoBot
What I'm hoping for:
I need to see how it handles real human creativity and unpredictability. Different playing styles, unusual openings, tactical patterns – that's what will really test it. Your games would help me spot weaknesses, bugs, and areas where the evaluation might be off.
If you're up for it:
Just fire off a challenge to GyatsoBot – any time control works. Play however you normally would, try some weird stuff if you want, and let me know what you notice. Does it miss tactics? Waste time? Make questionable moves in certain positions? All feedback is gold.
Even a game or two would help a ton. Thanks for considering it – genuinely appreciate anyone who takes the time!

Right now it is not open source bcz I am still figuring out things and what to do with this. I would surely release the binary in a few days but for the codebase i think I need time to think about that.
Other than that If you want to test it out or see how it performs then u can do that on lichess bot website
Or contact me personally through discord for a early build of the engine.

Yes I was thinking about that too and probably I'll make it open source after making the code pretty right now it is a mess.OttoLau wrote: ↑Fri Nov 28, 2025 11:48 pmIf you publish the code the helpful people here can help you with it forsure and suggest some new things for you, i will play a few games with it on lichess if i can catch itGyatsoYT wrote: ↑Thu Nov 27, 2025 10:43 pmRight now it is not open source bcz I am still figuring out things and what to do with this.
