Tcheran 9.0
https://github.com/tcheran-chess/tcheran
by Jonathan Gilchrist, England
Also a very nice development.
I don't know what to do with myself anymore. One event after another ...
A hard time for me.
December 2025 will go in chess history as months with the most releases!

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2025
Hi,
yes, I have often criticized this in German forums.
Means, not to pay for each commercial engine update, inside a commercial GUI project.
We should be realistic, it is becoming increasingly difficult for commercial projects.
But actions like these increase user confidence.
I am very happy that Frank Schneider is working on Fritz engine.
A talented German programmer (thinking on Gromit, Anaconda).
Frank goes at first the Winboard way, the UCI way and develops allways very nice engines.
Furthermore, a very sympathical programmer!!
Now a free engine update.
That's a great development.
Much better as all the critical engines, like Rybka, Houdini or other things available from ChessBase.
Again, very nice at all ...
A free engine update for ChessBase is from time to time the right way to make customers happy.
Speaking about my own opinion.
As customer from ChessBase software, I am very happy about exactly this!
We can criticize, but we should also always be able to praise.
Best
Frank

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2025
Hello chess lovers,
chessnix_1.2 is there.
https://github.com/ericlangedijk/chessn ... es/tag/1.2
With a bit of luck it reaches 3000+ ELO.
Lots of changes, some minor logical bugs solved.
Best regards,
Eric

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2025
Gyatso v1.0 is now available.
https://github.com/GyatsoYT/GyatsoChess/releases
This is the first public release of my open-source chess engine, written in Nim. The current playing strength is not yet established; a rough estimate would be around ~2000 Elo, but this still needs proper testing.
The engine is very much a work in progress, and any feedback, testing, or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Gyatso
