Re: Catalyst v3.0.0
Hi,
my ESET (NOD) detected a virus.
Could you check that?
I can create an exception, but it's better if that doesn't happen.
Best
Frank
PS: Same for your older two versions I checked.

Hey Frank
Catalyst is totally safe its open source you can check the code yourself
ESET is just being too sensitive it happens with a lot of chess engines including Stockfish sometimes
The compiler optimizations and the embedded NNUE data can look weird to antivirus programs but its completely normal for engines
Just add Catalyst to the exclusions list or build it from source and you'll be fine
Thanks for checking though
Sorry for the late reply I am not that active in community these days

Hello Anany,
5 out of TOP-270 programmers engines in detail = 1.86% (with installed ESET Security Ultimate).
For the reason that I test all the engines and check that for my engine-overview I have made the configuration for all.
People asked me often (around since 30 years), so the configuration can be also download.
https://www.amateurschach.de/main/_engines.htm
In three of the five cases,
Windows 11 Defender also causes few problems.
I like stats so much!
Yes, the exclusion list solves the problem, of course.
Thanks for your time and ...
your Engine Anany!
Best
Frank
