can you compile this engine, please ?

Coda https://github.com/adamtwiss/coda

Thanks!
Hi Alex,

I have a rule to not compile development versions anymore (unless development has ceased and it will be the final version) and to wait for full releases before compiling.

Jim.

Hi jim,

Astra 7.0 and Bread 3.1.0 are out!

By the way, Thanks for Icarus 1.0, Hobbes 2.1, Eleanor 4.1 and Berserk 14 compilation with android builds. A friend voluntarily reach out Raphael and Tcheran for android support or compatibility.

Joseph.
Hi Joseph,

I cannot compile working Raphael and Tcheran android builds anymore :(
Will take a lok at Astra & Bread.

Jim.

Hi jim,

I fully understand its complexity but could you send any details on exact or specific areas where the engines fails or difficult to compile. Arzam18 contacted both engines, both responded possitively and willing to investigate and work for it.

Both compile ok but don't run. I can't debug android engines so I don't know what is happening.

Hi jim,

Does Astra 7.0 don't work on android too, same as Raphael and Tcheran? I'll send this to Arzam18.

Arzam18 listing the chess engines that don't work on android to contact their developers.

Good morning Jim,

It may be the case that some engines never reach a release version but the engines are still under development.

I don't know!
I have no idea, or maybe there will be one after all.
I've never been good at clairvoyance.

Good examples are:
- Carp, https://github.com/dede1751/dede1751.github.io
- Weiss, https://github.com/TerjeKir/weiss/ ... here you offer the last version
- Hardfiskur, https://github.com/t-veor/hardfiskur
- Leaf, https://github.com/dan-homan/Leaf

Interesting is Potential, so many changes the programmer made in the last months.
I am looking more times weekly on the GitHub site ... this engine must be 1.000 Elo stronger, no, no but it feels like.

- Potential, https://github.com/ProgramciDusunur/Potential

The rule of compiling only the release versions is certainly understandable, but it isn't necessarily a good one.
Why? Because there are ... and always will be ... exceptions to every rule.

You know, my own rules for my still running ETOC-G are bad.
If there are no rules at all, I just end up creating chaos.
It's right ... better bad rules as to create chaos!

Have a nice sunday!

Best
Frank
