BTW:
Your Eleanor 4.1 version produced problems.
Froozen Shredder GUI ...
Programmers version works fine here!
Same for Titan 1.1
Froozen Shredder GUI ...
With the different to Eleanor, the programmers version produced the same problem.

Hi Frank,Frank Quisinsky wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 8:24 am Good morning Jim,
It may be the case that some engines never reach a release version but the engines are still under development.
I don't know!
I have no idea, or maybe there will be one after all.
I've never been good at clairvoyance.
Good examples are:
- Carp, https://github.com/dede1751/dede1751.github.io
- Weiss, https://github.com/TerjeKir/weiss/ ... here you offer the last version
- Hardfiskur, https://github.com/t-veor/hardfiskur
- Leaf, https://github.com/dan-homan/Leaf
Interesting is Potential, so many changes the programmer made in the last months.
I am looking more times weekly on the GitHub site ... this engine must be 1.000 Elo stronger, no, no but it feels like.
- Potential, https://github.com/ProgramciDusunur/Potential
The rule of compiling only the release versions is certainly understandable, but it isn't necessarily a good one.
Why? Because there are ... and always will be ... exceptions to every rule.
You know, my own rules for my still running ETOC-G are bad.
If there are no rules at all, I just end up creating chaos.
It's right ... better bad rules as to create chaos!
Have a nice sunday!
Best
Frank
I have three main issues.
1. Whether the author wishes an unfinished (and possible buggy ) engine to be distributed and tested.
2. For author to receive undue critisism and complaint for an engine that is in development at not intended to be used yet.
3. The extra workload that it puts on me having to compile repeated requests for latest version to be compiled. (sometimes there are new commits every day).
Jim.

Hi Jim,
what you're describing is, of course, correct.
No doubt about it.
What in this world is ever easy when we’re constantly trying to reconcile so many different personalities? Sometimes it seems impossible; there are plenty of good examples in politics ... loud thinking!

Hi Jim,
especially when it comes to older engines, your work over the past few years has been outstanding.
If people have criticized you, I hope you don't lose heart. It's especially when a work is exceptionally good that you're bound to face some naysayers.
