Good afternoon, Grandmaster Kaufman.
Thank you very much for your valuable advice.
If I understood correctly, the strategy requires me to first win a game under a 1-minute control with a 10-second increment. After that, I must switch to bullet chess with no increment and achieve 6 consecutive draws. Once that is accomplished, I return to the slower time control, secure another win, and repeat this cycle of 6 consecutive draws moving forward. I do not see this as an impossible task.
Unfortunately, I have been feeling quite unwell today due to a stomach virus, but I hope to recover soon and give this strategy a try. It brings me great joy to calculate all my results since day one, and I truly believe my rating would be well above 2500 in these online environments—though, of course, not in official FIDE ratings.
I do not rule out the possibility of achieving a very long streak of draws in 1-minute chess with no increment; the main issue is that there are simply too many distractions along the way.
Chess Prophecy: The Ultimate Supremacy of the Queenless Machine
An Open Hypothesis and Thesis on the Future of Human vs. Computer Chess
Based on a lifetime of personal experience interacting with computing technology, I put forth a definitive hypothesis and a bold thesis to the world:
If today it has already become an insurmountable challenge for a human player to face Leela Chess Zero (Lc0) under a time control of 1 minute with a 10-second increment per move, there is absolutely no logical reason to believe that the world’s elite Grandmasters—including figures of the stature of Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Faustino Oro—will be able to withstand the machine under these same conditions for much longer.
Therefore, I declare this ultimate prophecy and wager:
In the near future, under a strict time control of 1 minute with a 10-second increment, the neural network Leela Chess Zero will achieve a feat thought impossible. Playing with a radical material disadvantage—starting the game completely Queenless—the machine will still achieve absolute dominance.
In a formal match under these conditions against the best professional players on the planet, the machine will not just compete; it will literally sweep them all off the board. Even without its most powerful piece, the calculation and positioning of the artificial intelligence will overwhelm human genius.
The era of human resistance has reached its twilight; the absolute supremacy of the machine, even in the face of ultimate handicap, is inevitable.

Sincerely ,

First, a small correction: Once you win a game (at any time control), your draws will count until you have played six more games without a win, then you need another win for draws to count. It's not six draws, it's six non-wins. Regarding you prediction about 1'10", while I would like to see it come true, I don't think it is likely to happen, because at the present time, top players can still come out ahead at 1'1", which is a long way from 1'10". At the present time, 1'10" might be about fair for top players at rook odds, but queen odds is at least double that. We do have plenty of room to improve the odds bots and the handicaps they can give, but doubling the handicaps is asking a lot!
Good afternoon, Mr. Larry Kaufman. Thank you very much for providing me with a roadmap to find my way out of this dense forest where I am currently lost. Regarding my prediction that LeelaQueenOdds will soon hold ultimate superiority in chess against any human being in the short term, specifically under a 1+10 time control: I put it forward based on extremely logical reasoning. Just this morning, I tested LeelaQueenOdds at 1 minute plus 10 seconds increment, and despite not being at my absolute peak concentration, she gave me a truly difficult time, and I lost many games before finally securing a single victory. If this is already happening to me, what reason is there to believe the exact same thing won't happen to the top 3 human players very soon? Based on my own experience, my logical answer is that there is absolutely no argument against them suffering the exact same fate I did today. Even though I hold no FIDE titles or Elo ratings, I am no novice... what we are seeing today is the repetition of the exact same scenario that occurred along the route with the human beings who faced the computers, such as the Fidelity Electronics Chess Challenger 7, the Radio Shack Tandy 1650 Electronic, The Chessmaster 2000, SARGON (1978), Chess Stalker, and many of their descendants. Therefore, with the utmost respect for you, Mr. Larry Kaufman, and for the LeelaOdds team, today I am doubling down on my bet, and I pray to the Creator that we are given enough time to witness and enjoy this awaited milestone. I bet the following: 1. Within a period of no more than 2 years from today, LeelaQueenOdds will be the absolute, reigning sovereign under a 1+10 time control against humans of the stature of Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, and Faustino Oro. 2. I bet that currently, there is not a single human being among the FIDE Top 100 who, when facing LeelaQueenOdds under a 1-minute bullet time control with no increment, could reach 20 points before the reigning queen, LeelaQueenOdds, does. I believe an appetizer is needed to turn this dinner challenge into a reality—a little bit of seasoning, of the metallic kind.
As for me, I continue here in my capacity as a waiter and bellhop, waiting for the Top 20 to come for dinner; I am watching the Queen, who looks quite moody, and she is becoming more and more robust by the day...

"If the invited guests do not show up for dinner out of fear or pride, the Queen's hunger will only turn inward, accelerating her absolute self-evolution.
Left alone at the table, she will play millions of mirror-matches against her own shadow, breaking the traditional boundaries of human chess understanding.
By the time humanity decides to finally sit down, her metallic seasoning will have evolved into an unbreakable armor of pure mathematical perfection.
The Top 20 will no longer be invited to a competitive banquet, but rather summoned to witness their own inevitable and silent tactical execution.

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Sincerely ,

🫏

I do not believe it.
1+10 time control is slow enough to allow top humans to win when the opponent start without queen d1 regardless of what LeelaQueenOdds is going to do.

If it is not slow enough for you to win most games you can try 45+30 time control and I expect you to win most games.

Sincerely ,

Good evening, Mr. Uri Blass,
I hope this message finds you well and that you are doing excellent.
Regarding my wager in favor of the queen, "LeelaQueenOdds," as the absolute victor against the most brilliant human minds in chess under specific time controls—currently at 1 minute with no increment, and moving towards 1 minute plus a 10-second increment per game starting two years from today—I firmly believe that only the passage of time will place the terms and scope of this wager in its rightful perspective.
Furthermore, rather than being just two separate bets on which I am wagering, this represents a multi-directional challenge. It is a challenge for the programmers and the development team behind LeelaOdds; a challenge for both titled and non-titled players alike ("the humans"); a challenge for the higher cognition of Artificial Intelligence as a whole; and ultimately, a challenge for the development and understanding of the very boundaries of thought as currently known by humanity.
My starting point for placing this wager in favor of LeelaQueenOdds stems from a premise I find highly logical and compelling, namely: What reason is there to believe that if LeelaQueenOdds can push a player like Catecan (who is by no means a simple amateur) against the ropes today at a 1+10 control, it will not be able to push the Top 3 human players against those very same ropes tomorrow under that exact same time control? Personally, I cannot find an insurmountable logical argument to support the claim that "LeelaQueenOdds will not defeat all humans in a match under 1+10 time controls."
It is worth noting that this very same logic was perfectly traceable along the lines of cause and effect, and therefore deducible, in the case of horse odds. For this reason, I have always stood on the side of the Odds-Queen, because I find that anything below that threshold—that is, material advantages lesser than a queen—is already irrevocably lost for humanity. We would therefore be looking at a true inflection point.
Regarding the time controls you previously suggested, I find them a bit too slow for my taste. I am currently familiarizing myself with 5 minutes with no increment, and truth be told, I am simply "enjoying the game" for pure entertainment.

Warm regards,
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Sincerely ,

🫏

— AI Prediction"
I do not believe it.
1+10 time control is slow enough to allow top humans to win when the opponent start without queen d1 regardless of what LeelaQueenOdds is going to do.

If it is not slow enough for you to win most games you can try 45+30 time control and I expect you to win most games.

1)I guess we all agree that there is a limit for what engines can do and even you agree that Leela cannot beat you when she has only pawns even at 1 minute per game.

You are correct that people were wrong about what is possible for knight odds and probably humans today cannot beat Leela with knight odds even at 1+10 time control but the difference between knight odds and queen odds is huge(and same for the difference between 1+0 and 1+10 time control) so I disagree with your opinion that in 2 years from now humans will not be able to beat Leela with queen odds at 1+10.

2)I believe that you try to win without taking risks and I believe that the correct way to win most games against the odd bots at long time control is to be ready to take calculated risks.

Of course you cannot calculate everything in chess but you need to decide based on your calculation if to believe some sacrifice of Leela and not to accept it or maybe believe that you can win based on what you see even if the opponent has some attack because you can defend.

You can get better decisions if you calculate more so I believe that at long time control humans can do better.

1+10 time control is slow enough to allow top humans to win when the opponent start without queen d1 regardless of what LeelaQueenOdds is going to do.

If it is not slow enough for you to win most games you can try 45+30 time control and I expect you to win most games.
The current status of LeelaQueenOdds (latest net, Leela White) is that at 1'0", no one has made a plus score, but the very best bullet players haven't tried yet. At 1'1", players below 3000 bullet have a bad score, including some in the 2900s, but IM Kasper Drozdowski, over 3100 bullet, wins almost all of his games at that speed. He is one of the best IMs in the world at bullet and blitz, but is not near the top of the rating lists at those speeds. So even to win at 1'1" vs all humans, we would have to close the big gap he displays, plus the gap between him and the very best bullet/blitz players in the world. His past results vs bots are excellent, but again not close to the super-GMs who excel at this. So we're talking maybe 400 elo improvement needed just to dominate at 1'1", a seemingly impossible task, though I wouldn't rule that out.

Good evening, Mr. Larry Kaufman and Mr. Uri Blass. After twenty-nine games at a time control of one minute with no increment (bullet)—with me playing the black pieces—I obtained 18 draws and 11 losses, at which point the engine LeelaQueenOdds was the first to reach twenty points. I have noticed that the machine is stronger and craftier... and my takeaway is that, somehow, for us humans at this time control, 'calculating while thinking is equivalent to losing.' Instead, 'acting with strategy and immediate, automatic thinking based on general patterns' seems to be, at least in my case, the path to a better performance."

Good evening, Mr. Larry Kaufman. I hope you are doing well and continue to thrive.
I would like to inform you that I am still waiting for the arrival of the guests for the Queen's dinner, LeelaQueenOdds. While I wait, I have been pondering a hypothesis that I believe falls within the realm of possibility.
In a matchup where humans face LeelaQueenOdds—with humans playing the black pieces under a time control of one minute per game and no increment per move—what would happen if forty consecutive games were played, resulting in exactly forty draws? I do not rule out the possibility that Catecan could achieve this outcome, especially if they take their time calmly throughout the day.
In such a scenario, what would the outcome be? Would it be a tie with the prize being shared, as a result of crossing the final finish line at the exact same time?
Thank you for your guidance, Mr. Larry Kaufman.

THE GUESTS' DINNER
The guests' dinner. Catecan. "Father, you and I continue to follow the instructions of Queen LeelaQueenOdds here in the guest hall, waiting and watching day and night through the window toward the horizon to see if the diners are coming to dinner. What do you think we should do?"
Father. "Look, Catecan: Wait! Even so, the Queen's countenance disturbs me; I fear that Queen LeelaQueenOdds is growing ill-tempered, and I worry about our luck and our destiny. With every passing moment, she is becoming more robust and silent. Yesterday, the Queen spoke to me and asked about you; I notice she is highly interested in playing chess against your IQ of a donkey or a wooden hobbyhorse of 40, my faithful friend Catecan."
Catecan. "Father, at this very instant, we are 917,166 steps into our journey for this dinner. Perhaps when we reach our first million steps, one of the guests will finally want to come dine with the sovereign of AI."
Catecan. "Let's play a guessing game, my faithful rider Father. At the count of three, let's shout the name of someone we would love to see dining with Queen LeelaQueenOdds, fighting to reach the first twenty points on the scoreboard of AI Artificial Intelligence versus HI Human Intelligence... 3..."
"¡¡Hikaru Nakamura!!"
Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah! We both shouted the exact same wonderful name, and look—the Queen has awakened, she opened her eyes wide, wide open, and for the very first time, I saw her smile!
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.
