AHoy Matey 1.0

A new chess engine setting sail!

AHoy Matey is a Phase I amateur chess engine built from the ground up, combining traditional search techniques with a straightforward evaluation approach. It's a work in progress, with plenty of room for improvement.

AM 1.0 isn't intended to compete with today's established chess engines. It's an early-stage engine focused on playing complete games and providing a foundation for future improvements.

Give AHoy Matey a try, see how it plays, and join the journey as it continues to develop!

Not strong for enough for competition. A very rough guess is 1000, with the next version testing at 1500.
