Buster 7.0.2

Post by AndersRC »

Buster 7.0.2 — a new UCI engine, first public release Author: Anders R Carlsson, Sweden / Portugal.
Download (Windows x86-64 and Linux x86-64 binaries, source): https://github.com/andersrcarlsson-stac ... s/releases
Licence: MIT · Language: C++20 · Protocol: UCI · Single-threaded, no ponder. Strength: about 2750 CCRL Blitz, from my own gauntlet: 320 games at 2'+1" on an i7-4770K against blunder 8.5.5, lishex 1.1.1, belette 3.0.0 and euwe 2.1.0 (all on the current CCRL Blitz list), rated with Ordo → 2757 ± 28. The four opponents individually imply 2701–2820, so treat it just as a rough estimate. Requires BMI2 (PEXT): Intel Haswell or newer, AMD Zen. On AMD Zen 1/Zen 2 it runs, but very slowly (microcoded PEXT). What's inside: - PEXT slider attacks, fully legal move generation - Alpha-beta with iterative deepening, aspiration windows, TT (also in quiescence), null move, reverse futility, futility, late-move pruning, LMR table, SEE ordering, killers, history + continuation history, check extension, soft/hard time management - Hand-crafted tapered evaluation: mobility, king safety (attack units), passed pawns, pawn structure, bishop pair, rook files, plus four endgame draw rules.
Every feature was kept only after an SPRT or a correctness gate. The repository has six documents on how it works — including a table of ideas that were tried and rejected (PVS, Texel tuning, extra king-safety terms, ...) with the reasons.
Buster has been my hobby project for a long time; this is the first version I'm releasing.

Does anybody know how it would be possible to have Buster tested at CCRL Blitz list and 40/15 ?
As I said, this is my first public release and I have not been able to figure out the way this works... I would be happy for all and any advise!

Posting here is fine.
The other alternative is to join the CCRL public forum and post there.

I am already testing it. However, at least in the early stage, it seems much weaker than your estimate suggests. Let's wait for how it unfolds.
