chess game databases?

Does anyone know how to download the files from www.chessnostalgia.com? When i try to download it opens up like notepad? Thanks.

Mark all - ctrl+a - and copy, the paste into to a text-editor, and save the file with .pgn extension.

I'm having a problem with changing the extension. I saved the print into notepad which has a .txt ending. Help! Thanks.

Actually, now that i have figured out how to make a pgn extension, I'm now having problems downloading the text. Has anyone tried to download the files from the www.chessnostalgia.com site? Can someone help me on how to download? I guess the file is kind of large. Thanks.

What sort of problems do you have? I just click on the PGN tab and say "down them all" and they come zipping along.

Maybe you are having a problem because they have spaces in their names.

I keep getting a webpage with alot of text but nothing saying "down them all" when i click on the file to download. Not quite sure what is going on? Are you using internet explorer or another web browser?

I used my old computer and now it downloads ok. I'm not sure what's on the other computer making it download in text. Maybe the newer IE. Thanks.
