Yes Terry, there were cute moments in the rest of the game as well, like the following

[d]4r1k1/3b1pbp/2p4r/1pRp3q/p2P1Pp1/P2BP1P1/QPNR3P/6K1 b - - 0 25

Black played 25. ... Rxe3! 26. Nxe3 Bxd4 27. Bxh7 Kxh7

[d]8/3b1p1k/2p4r/1pRp3q/p2b1Pp1/P3N1P1/QP1R3P/6K1 w - - 0 28

The Bishop can not be captured because of the mate threat (mate in 7), so white played 28. Rc3

[d]8/3b1p1k/2p4r/1p1p3q/p2b1Pp1/P1R1N1P1/QP1R3P/6K1 b - - 0 28

and black followed with the nice quiet shot 28. ... Bf5! as white still cannot take the bishop as that leads to mate also.

Lastly I like the way Hiarcs ended the game from the following position.

[d]7k/8/8/1p6/p5N1/r4p2/1K6/8 b - - 0 51

Black played the strong and simple 51. ... Ra3!! 52. kxa2 and it was over for white as the following position shows.

[d]7k/8/8/1p6/p5N1/5p2/K7/8 b - - 0 52

Correction:

Black played the strong and simple 51. ... Ra2!! 52. kxa2 and it was over for white as the following position shows.

[d]7k/8/8/1p6/p5N1/5p2/K7/8 b - - 0 52

Black played like a strong GM! Shredder played a losing patzer move with 18. Qa2?? and failed to come up with other better moves as well. Shredder looks like a dumb computer and Hiarcs look like an intelligent human instead of machine.

Quite Wonderful!

Wow! You should be able to gain honarary life membership to the Hiarcs forum with that assessment! You might even have your quote added to the marketing list alongside Fern's.

Mark has done a fine job with Hiarcs.

I'm quite sure that your comments will be picked up on without our help.
Hiarcs must be one of the few original engines and Mark has it playing in an attractive manner to boot.

Yes, that is true ... But I liked how Ra2 showed just how hopeless the position was by this point. Not to mention how shocked I was by how that move (Ra2) drove that point home for me.
