In addition to Jon's suggestions:
Simplex, CuckooChess, Ifrit, Red Queen, Greko, GarboChess, Protector, Pepito, Daydreamer, OliThink.
There are probably several that I have missed.

One I forgot: Gaviota is also open source and works well on Linux + windows.

Re: Gaviota
Actually I think I was mistaken: there is a Linux binary but no source (it is closed). Only the tablebase code has been released.

Re: Gaviota
Actually Sloppy is 1 CPU. I ran it in command line and it said 2 CPU detected, so I assumed it was SMP, but in fact it only parallelizes the perft calculation (which is irrelevant to playing chess). Doesn't change the results, but I can now play Sloppy's games in //, two games at a timelucasart wrote:Finished testing Sloppy 0.2.2 (2 CPU):NB: The offset is such as to give Sungorus 1.4 a score of 2402 elo, consistently with CCRL 40/40.Code: Select all

Re: my private rating list: GPL Blitz
most of these are either windows only, or dont work. cuckoochess needs some java stuff to work, can't be bother, I just want a single executableAdam Hair wrote:In addition to Jon's suggestions:

There are probably several that I have missed.
I'll try protector though. And Olithink seems to have problems in its xboard handling code.

Re: my private rating list: GPL Blitz
I'm sure that I have misunderstood something. None of these are windows only. Jim Ablett has compiled each of these engines for both Windows and Linux. I was assuming you could do the same with the source files bundled with the executables on his site (except CuckooChess, which is in Java).lucasart wrote:most of these are either windows only, or dont work. cuckoochess needs some java stuff to work, can't be bother, I just want a single executableAdam Hair wrote:In addition to Jon's suggestions:

Ah yes, indeed the Jim Ablett compiles for Simplex and Greko work fine. I'll put those two on the list, after Umko has finished.Adam Hair wrote:I'm sure that I have misunderstood something.
