I mentioned Zappa because of it's supposed legendary scaling ability on lots of cores, and it might have been interesting to see it running on 16. Still way below current engines though even with more cores.Mike S. wrote:I would not object if you would put Zappa Mexico II into nTCEC Season 2, as a "representative of the old performers", like Naum. .

Yes, but it is still crashing with 16, so not going to happen, sorry.Modern Times wrote: I mentioned Zappa because of it's supposed legendary scaling ability on lots of cores, and it might have been interesting to see it running on 16. Still way below current engines though even with more cores.

Yes, most unfortunate, but you can't have engines crashing in your tournaments so it must be excluded.Martin Thoresen wrote:Yes, but it is still crashing with 16, so not going to happen, sorry.Modern Times wrote: I mentioned Zappa because of it's supposed legendary scaling ability on lots of cores, and it might have been interesting to see it running on 16. Although you could run it with 8-cores, perhaps?Martin Thoresen wrote:Yes, but it is still crashing with 16, so not going to happen, sorry.Modern Times wrote: I mentioned Zappa because of it's supposed legendary scaling ability on lots of cores, and it might have been interesting to see it running on 16. It can be useful to have yesteryear's "benchmark" alongside the newer engines.
Just an idea,

Sorry for the delay, but sometimes private life (aka 'weekend') interferes.
Booot 5.2.0 is finished and can be seen at http://www.inwoba.de
It pushed Zappa Mexico II out of the Top 20 after 5 Years and 4 monthes!
Bye
