Version 14 is buggy too, but I hope that 5-pieces works fine!? We will see.

From a game with GUI-Syzygy 6-pieces, losed with Fritz 18 Version 14:
Image

8/8/7k/2K5/1p4n1/1P6/P7/8 b - - 0 1

1. +- (1): 46...Ne3
2. +- (1): 46...Ne5
3. +- (1): 46...Nf2
4. +- (1): 46...Nf6
5. +- (1): 46...Nh2
6. +- (1): 46...Kg5
7. +- (1): 46...Kg6
8. +- (1): 46...Kg7
9. +- (1): 46...Kh5
10. +- (1): 46...Kh7
White mates

7. +- (1): 46...Kg6 --> wrong, it is draw.

GUI played Ne3 and game was lost. Correct is Kg6 = Draw.

After Kg6:

1. = (0.00): 47.Kxb4
2. = (0.00): 47.Kb5
3. = (0.00): 47.Kc4
4. = (0.00): 47.Kd4
5. -+ (-1): 47.a4
6. -+ (-1): 47.a3
7. -+ (-1): 47.Kb6
8. -+ (-1): 47.Kc6
9. -+ (-1): 47.Kd5
10. -+ (-1): 47.Kd6
The position is equal

Best way is Fritz 16 GUI update 38.

I now installed Fritz 16 GUI with version number 38.

Here are the three critical positions under Fritz 16 (GUI uses 3456men Syzygy):

All correct! It is a mystery to me why this is not the case under Fritz 18 and Powerfritz 18! One would think that a newer GUI is better than the old one.

Little hint Syzygy BUG:

Everything works correctly with version 10 of Fritz 18, as well as with CB 16 of version 18.

Fritz 18 Version 10 is from August 9, 2022, as is ChessBase 16 Version 18 from the same day.

There are no tablebases included with Chessbase. You can purchase one of course. I have never bought a tablebase for any of the Chessbase versions I've had.

Material imbalance search is also not working as intended.
Material filter only show a couple of games in positions where it usuallly was 50 if not more positions.

Wish someone pass this info over to Chessbase team.

I'm curious...why don't you report it?

I would feel silly doing so as...I'm not even sure what you mean. There are lots of ways to search for positions....not sure what you mean by ' material imbalance' as there is no feature by that name. Do you perhaps mean the 'set filter by material' option under advanced search? If so, I just tried that for R+3P vs R+2P and it works fine.
