Cheating occurs in many sports is (e.g. using drugs to enhance one's performance) which I agree is illogical unless there is an ulterior motive (e.g. prize money) for it although this would still be dishonourable of course. Assuming that the motive is purely for all the attention, accolades and ego boost that goes with winning then I can understand this but I personally would not be satisfied if I won knowing full well that I did so by cheating. Perhaps one revolutionary idea or solution to the problem is simply to allow all competitors to use whatever drugs, computers or other assistance that they like inorder to level the playing field a bit. Perhaps 100 meter runners should be allowed to use Fly Jumpers in the future.
Now cracks a noble heart.—Good night, sweet Princess, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

I tell you cheating must really pay well, otherwise what is the point?? But wait there is more ....
Therefore I always use PocketGrandmaster to cheat.
If you get caught with PocketFritz, the whole Chess World can read about it one hour later on the Chessbase News and Advertising site.

My link was for Chess Vibes not Chessbase.
