Hmmmmmmmm....... Sorry Ted. Unless it is some thing stupid like you forgot to plug it in...........then I agree with you. It was not tested prior to leaving the factory. If THAT is true ....then what else is true? Remeber if I recall correctly that Packard Bell ( I think was the company) was using old parts for new machines......I have been tempted from time to time to get a DELL....However having read several disconcerting comments and now your experience clinches it for me.
DEEP SIGH......

Yeah,HP and Dell sells crap machines from time to time, but as far as I am concerned, the products for the american market are usualy cutting edge regarding the quality....Nimzovik wrote:Hmmmmmmmm....... Oi malandro ... yes is a much better card, but for chess I think it is not needed and usually I look for the lowest electrical drain on the PS as possible to keep it all for the CPU's. I usually like a "fanless" VGA card ... but definetely the 8800GT is much much better card ... and $69 it is a steal!Albert Silver wrote:I prefer the Gigabyte nVidia 8800GT PCI-E ($69) after mail-in rebate, but we´re talking about a card that outperforms the 7300GT by a lot.M ANSARI wrote:XFX Nvidia 7300 GT PCI Express VGA ($33)
