Experts advice needed: Q6600 vs Q8200

My budget is quite limited at the moment and I couldn't wait any longer so I think I will just have to make myself contented with either of the two processor for the time being and just replace it later this year when the prices of the Core i7 would go down more.

Done, but with the caveat that I'm not really sure which one is best. Newegg has them at equal price, but the Q6600 has an OEM deal. You might want to check ebay as well.

It's a tradeoff, Q6600 has slightly faster clock speed, bigger L2 cache, and more OC potential; Q8200 has less power consumption and faster FSB. So I ended up voting Q6600 because I'm quite happy with mine.

By the way, is ZCT's DTS implementation ok now? I'm studying SMP implementation at the moment. SMP has been in my todo list for so long.

Yes, it's stable and working. The only problem is that it's speedup isn't all that great right now. I've been meaning to do a release for a while now, I might do it after CCT...

Q6600 ang choice ko pero kung meron kang extrang pera, ang suggestion ko ay Q6700 ang kunin mo. mas maganda ang rating nito sa Tomshardware benchmark kompara sa Q6600. merong ginawang improvement sa Q6700 after realesing the Q6600.
