Hi
Thanks for this. I remember getting chessmaster 9000 as a gift years ago I remember how it would always seem to sac a pawn with Knight to attack the castled king, it would usually go on to win. even on weaker personalities. I thought it was a deep meaningful move, now off course I know it was an unsound sacrifice and It worked as I was a weak player. I like to think I have improved since then. But thats always been the chessmaster style.

If Fritz could release a version based open chessmaster themes it would be ideal, If they need ideas just look at chessmaster. I was relieved when I was able to install the last chessmaster version on my windows 10 computer. And its a programm that I still use sometimes.

Hopefully I could find CM2000 somewhere in my backups. I used to have a video game cartridge with CM program, but the chip was probably 4bit and it played accordingly.
I have the DOS version of CM2000 somewhere. But of course it won't run without an emulator.

DosBox should be fine and is already configured in the link below. However, it slows down quite a bit. Slightly better is Virtual Box, but again I can't get the sound to work and the installation is a bit more laborious there. If you still know DOS and can get the DOS file choice.com, you can easily create control menus for individual keys in DOSBox. Alternatively, you can add DOS Norton or M602 or something similar. I see Norton is in there too,
