Chess Tiger plays it under 7 seconds so I wonder if it was used by the book maker.
Does Chess Tiger play it for the right reasons?

I'll need to look at this more closely, the first few moves are obvious.

Thanks...

Maybe the first move for white after 1...Nxg4 2.hxg4 Bxg4 should be 3.Bd5 now it is harder since white has got ready for an eventual f5 by black. And if the Queen goes to d7 or c8 then white can employ the Nh2 defence and give up the exchange to Bxe2.These positions that follow after 3.Bd5 from the computers perspective only show a marginal advantage to black or white depending on which program I use.It would be interesting to do further analysis on 3.Bd5 and try and refute it.
But at the end of the day I think that the g4 move by white is too risky and has a negative score in tournament play and white should be looking at something else.

This was my main line with 3. Bd5:

1... Nxg4 2. hxg4 Bxg4 3. Bd5 Qf6 4. Nh2 Qh4 5. Qe1 Bxe2 6. Qxe2 Qg3+

And things are looking great for Black. I agree that examining this position is fun, and that by examining and refuting the lines of others we can reveal the truth.
