Hi Patrick !

Just again only top-engines. :?
Do you do this opening tourney with other engines (leagues) as well ?

Hi Daniel,

All Engines of all Divisions played with this opening in 5'+5"; but it's too fast for you.

But play 392 games at 60'/40+30' = 50 days. In 50 days, 10% of the engines are updated.

If you have interest on B22 thematic tournaments Tournois thématiques B22 in the UEL, if you have only interest on long time thematic tournaments Index de tous Les Tournois Thématiques

Naaaaa, it's okay for me. I just overlooked that...

Why should it to fast for me ? Yes, right, Homer isn't good on blitz level, but that's okay. :)
I decided myself, a year ago, to go another way. I believe on knowledge. I think it's the key for a strong engine. But knowledge costs speed and speed is needed for blitz games.
However, i have no problem with Blitz tourneys at all. If Homer has only 2300 ELO in engine vs engine matches on blitz level it's true and okay.

My personal focus is on creating a analyse tool for human players and nothing else. Just right now i'm doing a break of developing my engine.
It's pretty nice and i'm starting to see things different. :D

I'm staying over the things just for myself now. They can't hurt me longer and i'm feeling fully relaxed. I'm looking for tourney results of course, but i'm no longer comment them, good or bad. I know people are happy if they can do engines vs engines matches and i'm happy as well, because they are happy. (pretty easy, isn't it ?)

And i like the UEL work!

Thanks for the nice information!

I hope you understand me now :)

Hi Daniel,

I propose for the thematic tournament of May (60'/40+30') to use Homer 2.0 and 5 engines published in 2007 classified better in the UEL that Homer 2.0:
Alaric 704
Delfi 5.1
Booot 4.13.1
Movei 0.08.403
Twisted Logic 0.085x3x1
Alfil 7.3
Hamsters 0.2
or updated version of this engines if necessary.

If you want, you can choose the opening or the position.

Patrick

Hi Patrick !

Mmmmh, that would be not fair anyway.
First all other engines just doing these tournaments inside her divisions and this rule should be hold in any case. Means, if you wanna use Homer just start a MiniMe tourney.

I don't want to choose a opening. Its on you to do that. :D

But thanks for the great offer anyway :)

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

The LTT (Le Tournoi Thématique) is valided in the UEL only if the conditions are conform tio the rules of the UEL (6 engines from a Division, etc.)

But in the LTT, as you can see in the differents tournaments, there are also playing 'non-UCI' engines. In this case, the games on UCI engines aren't inclued in the base for the rating calculation.

It's not a problem to let play a tournament with 6 UCI engines outside of the UEL.

Patrick

Hi Daniel,

I choose the start position for the next LTT May 2007:

A40 English Defense
1.d4 e6 2.c4 b6 3.e4 Bb7 4.Nc3 Bb4 5.Bd3 f5

Image

My offer is still open.

Hi Patrick,

i don't understand your offer. If you wanna use Homer 2.0 for this tournament you can use Homer of course.
I would be the last men on this world which says no ;)

Best,
Daniel
