I recently found another clone "shirov". Yes I know it comes as a shock but after reviewing all the evidence, there is little doubt. Shirov is a clone of mikhail tal and is one of the russians first successful attempts at cloning humans.
The proof is: their style of play, rate of play, they both came from same town and their chess strengths are the same above 2700. What this has to do with computer chess? Well as anyone every asked why they both play like computers? The russian scientist also put computer chips in their heads! only now after all of the years of collective, real-life tournament experiences the scientists collected the data from their memory chips and created rybka! and finially their new beta steika.
This is an attempt of the russians to take over the world or at least the computerchess world by making world class chess engines that can never be defeated by humans. I've said too much, must now go into witness protection program.

Tal won the world championship by beating botvinik in 1960.eriq wrote:I recently found another clone "shirov". I wonder when do you think that computer scientists put computer chips in his head?
Note that rybka needs hours to find shirov's famous move Bh3
Do you think that the reason is that there was a problem in collecting part of the data from shirov's memory or maybe you think that Vas simply decided that it is better not to use all the knowledge that he collected from the chips now so he can improve rybka later?

Re: Attack of the clones
Hard to tell, it is a conspiracy! And so they are keeping the details hidden.

Re: Attack of the clones
I have shown a few of the people at the college, I attend, some of the crazy conspiricy posts from this forum and most just couldn't believe that educated adults have such behavior. Attacking one another over much of nothing! with little to no proof once so ever and even after being pointed out and proven wrong refusing to admit their mistakes is just incredible. Most just laugh and ask "do these people really play chess?" isn't that a gentlemens game?
It just reminds me of the statement made by the cat in shrek2 that says
"I must get out of here, before I too go mad! -- Too late".
And so now I am trying to write good fiction.
Best wishes

Hi Eriq,
Very good
But I found a bug in your theory....... I know (dont ask me how) that the brain chip was removed when Shirov got spanish citizenship
