How would the top five Human Chessplayers perform if they pl
What would happen hypothetically if the top five humans competed at Leinden? I know some of the Hardware used at Leinden would probally put the computers over Deepblue, some may say it's impossible to know, but I think speculations is sometimes fun. Any opinions?

There would be five dead humans! Not a one would survive. The line-up of comps would be nothing more than a firing squad

We can ask Pablo to compete as well, to save the humanity with a 200 move draw.

_No one can hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward….

I don't agree. If the top 5 players spent all their efforts on computer chess they would win, the computers would be dead..eriq wrote:There would be five dead humans! Not a one would survive. The line-up of comps would be nothing more than a firing squad
They study for human games which is very different from computer games.

Terry, I am having a hard time agreeing with you. I am pretty sure Kramnik played a lot against Fritz, was he able to win a single game? Heck no.Terry McCracken wrote:I don't agree. You must think that this is the matrix and with practice the gm's (neo) could dodge all of the tactical bullets that would be coming their way, fired by the evil comps (agents). However this is not the matrix and though, I am sure the gm s would try, in the end their bodies would still be litered with the tactical bullets. I don't like this reality anymore than you do, but at this time 2007, we must face facts and not live in some utopian-like dream world ie. we *could be equal* if we tryed, Bollocks.
