It was in THIS forum (u can look araound) when i predicted that anytime it would appear a program that focuses more in developing more powerful algorithms (i mean software) (i am not a programmer, so sorry for not using the proper words: just trying to tell my theory) than focusing in powerful hardware..... and I go on thinking that much more is coming in the near future under this theory.
Thx to everybody.

ps THIS forum was not even around 6 years ago. The old forum was taken down and there is no record of your prediction at the copy maintained by Sean Mintz,

I'm still amazed by the number of computer chess experts we have in this forum. And they DO share their insights with us!

It was a good prediction, but not too much different to forecast that in some years from now there will be faster computers or better planes. Software develops making use of better algorithms, of course.
Predictions has sense if they are somewhat more precise.
My best

I predict that there will be a 50 elo stronger ChessTiger within 4 years. Do you think that I am being bit too safe?tiger wrote:chesstango wrote:It was in THIS forum (u can look araound) when i predicted that anytime it would appear a program that focuses more in developing more powerful algorithms (i mean software) (i am not a programmer, so sorry for not using the proper words: just trying to tell my theory) than focusing in powerful hardware..... and I go on thinking that much more is coming in the near future under this theory.
