Here is the indian Chess program that plays chess and is open source
,it doesn't have support for winboard and it has it's own graphics,I've come across this program from programmers community.

It plays at around 1800 I guess.

Maybe someone can talk to the author about implementing the winboard support?

I saw the site about a year ago and posted the link at winboard forum. Jim Ablett said that he would consider adding winboard protocol to the program as he is done with everything else.
