I can see only zappa and not zap in the list of participants.
zappa is the free version of zap so it is misleading if they plan to use zap
and not zappa.

Entering Zappa and not Zap probably saves 500 Euros!

I think that it should not be allowed.

It is not fair to use commercial program and pay as amateur.
By the same logic every commercial programmer can enter as an amateur with a new name and Vas can also call his program rybka beta when adding the word beta saves 500 Euros for him.

You can say that there is no justification for high entry fee for commercial programs but rules need to be the same and it is not logical to allow Zap what you do not allow other.

I am still gutted I can't buy/get the UCI version - if this was available for download for owners of the CB version I would buy the CB version today.

Obviously I would prefer to buy just the engine as it is a pain having to pay for the GUI multiple times.

Fair or not do you not remember the days when Fritz used to enter as Quest?
