how to get CSTAL running on playchess

best would be on ONE machine with 2 cores.

I think - long time ago I did it with auto232 player and 2 PCs.
Of course its possible to use a 2 core machine. But do you have 2 com interfaces??
I had to buy a usb - com cabel (pearl) - but its not easy to find a driver which is working....
And perhaps you need Windows98 to run it because I see DOS4GW on my old HD inside the folder of ChessTAL from 1998 (or is there a newer version?) I found a CSTAL II CD here from 1999, but do not know if its running on XP.

I would have troubles with my xp 64 bit GUI.....

I think CSTAL II runs on Windows XP 64 Bit too, in the 32 bit emulation that is automatically done.

i have no idea about Vista. so the next thing is to "solve " the COM situation.
i think i have 2 com ports. 9 pins.
its no laptop so i guess there should be 2 ports.

Sorry Thorsten, I do not know such a program. There is on some guis the chance to use the network instead of auto232 cable. But on one pc?
