Here Karpov in 1989 played .....Qe1....!
TurboStar432 finds Qe1 in 40 sec....(not too bad for TurboStar 432)...!
Novag Scorpio................1 min. 22 sec.
Mach3...........................1 min. 24 sec.
RS-2200X...............takes about one hour....
An early display of Qe1 does not count....It must keep it there for "credit"...

HI Rob
on the eve of tomorrow's epic ..standard chess..no monkey business .. no weird goofy rules .. match against Hiarcs 0.7.. i put the Excel Display through a final pre-match workout with this position
even though his Excellency did find Qe1 it took 13 minutes and 20 seconds- 6 ply ..to do so
this is much too long and does not bode well for the Excellence against Hiarcs tomorrow
upon second thought ..perhaps our match is a bit "behind the times" and we should consider a small "Kaufmanesque "
change to the standard rules..
i wonder if Mark would agree to not allowing Hiarcs to move any pieces
Past The Third Rank Regards?
