Man G..M. versus Machine in Playchess
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Wow, he gave away the whole game in like three moves. He wasnt winning but he was only a pawn down until 40th move or so.

It's simply computer output.jennifers wrote:hi pablo. can you explain the info in brackets please? thanks.

The info in brackets is the score/evaluation, time and depth of search.jennifers wrote:hi pablo. could you explain the info in brackets {} please? thanks

Re: Man G..M. versus Machine in Playchess
thanks terry. is score the same thing as tempo? and how do you determine the evaluation? . also where does the high numbers come from like 223, 100, 256, etc and where does the info in parentheses come from like tc1, sa4, lxd6, tae1, etc? {-0.34/18 223} {(Tc1) 100} {-0.34/18 356} (Sa4) (Lxd6) (Tae1) (Te1) (Thg1) (Tg3) (Tce1){(Tcc1) 79} {(Dc1) (Txe3) {34} {(Tf1) 230} {(Tc3) 132} {244} {315} thanks bunches for your help

I'm not programmer...just a chess player who has an interest in computerjennifers wrote:thanks terry. is score the same thing as tempo? and how do you determine the evaluation? . also where does the high numbers come from like 223, 100, 256, etc and where does the info in parentheses come from like tc1, sa4, lxd6, tae1, etc? {-0.34/18 223} {(Tc1) 100} {-0.34/18 356} (Sa4) (Lxd6) (Tae1) (Te1) (Thg1) (Tg3) (Tce1){(Tcc1) 79} {(Dc1) (Txe3) {34} {(Tf1) 230} {(Tc3) 132} {244} {315} thanks bunches for your help

No, the score isn't related to tempo. You need a programmer to really explain how evaluation is determined. I could make a half assed attempt, but I think I'll leave that to the programmers. You can google information on how it basically works. Sa4 et al, are the moves in German, Sa4 in English is Na4 IIRC. These are moves that have been either played or suggested by the program.
For example, {-0.34/18 223} means roughly a third of a pawn advantage for Black, (measured in centi-pawns), Depth of Search is 18 plys or half-moves and the number means Black's time is 223 sec. for that move. The small numbers displayed is the move that has been played. Moves in the evaluation after a move is made and the program determined another move, or expected another move, then that move will be displayed in brackets.
Dan may come along and write a few pages on how all this works and correct any glaring mistakes I probably just made

Terry
P.S. I think I know what you're referring to by the numbers, besides seconds, and the move number, you have the plys like I mentioned and I think what you're reading is the ply number and the number beside it I think is how many iterations left or possibly looked at. I'd have to really looks this all up
