Scid for Pocket PC - First Beta released

Post by pgeorges »

Hi,

I uploaded version 0.1 of Scid Pocket : http://prolinux.free.fr/scid/PPC.html
Its main features are :
- engine analysis with Toga (display of N best lines);
- load and save of Scid bases (up to 5 bases);
- import / export PGN files;
- variation edition;
- opening stats of current base (tree window under Scid).

This is just a Beta 0.1 version because of :
- crashes when PDA memory becomes low (see info in the about box);
- I only have a VGA Pocket with a lot of RAM (Axim x51v), so I don't know how it will exactly behave on lower end PDAs.

When I try to launch scidppc I get the following error message
wrong #args: should be
"wce captionheight"
while executing
"wce captionheight
window"
(procedure "board::init"
line 14)
invoked from within
"board::init"
(file
"\Windows\scid_pocket\sci
dppc.tcl" line 134)
I am using an iPAQ hx2750 with WM 2003 2nd edition.Does anyone else get this error?

I uploaded a 0.4 version that should fix this problem (even if I can't reproduce it on my WM5 VGA PDA).
