Chessmaster blitz - CM9000 Tribute

Post by Chris Tatham »

Hi All :)

I've been busy of late with other things, but in the absence of any other results from CM devotees, I thought I would revisit the CGBT gauntlet and test out one of the latest promising CM settings - CM9000 Tribute.

After a couple of cycles 'Tribute band' seemed a more appropriate moniker, but after a slow start Tribute recovered strongly and completed the gauntlet with a score of 596.5 and takes first place! 8-) Good job by Graham - he now has the top 3 places :)

Code: Select all

Arguably, CM10th Paralyse remains the 'best' setting tested:

Code: Select all

Relative to relevant benchmark (DEFAULT setting)

Wilhelm has also put out a final setting (CM10th Descent) which heads his CEGT Chessmaster rating list.

Wilhelm's words, not mine! :P

Cock de Gorter and Luis Barutti continue to test and develop new CM settings, many of which are amongst the best also.

Hi Ray / Graham

Thanks for your interest here. I pretty much retired from CM testing and have naively been waiting patiently for CM11th :? but as there seems to be some recent interest with new settings and tourneys (even you Graham! :) ), I will perhaps run through just a few more including Descent, Guardian and another one from Cock.

Thanks & best wishes

Chris
