Can one make Toga II 1.3x4 mp from its sources, or it's absolutely impossible?

That I suppose depends on how good a programmer you areperejaslav wrote:Can one make Toga II 1.3x4 mp from its sources, or it's absolutely impossible?

- It is not impossible but I think Thomas Gaksch just doesn't have time to do it, and maybe not much interest.
- In an academic sense it has already been done, see the games of Gridchess in Amsterdam WCCC last month.
So maybe you can contact the author of Gridchess if the sources are going to be available sometime. Maybe as part of his doctoral thesis? - See also the Winboard programming forum, post from Uri, http://wbforum.vpittlik.org/viewtopic.p ... 0780563066
- The private version of Fruit developed partly by Ryan Benitez and Fabien Letouzey, that played in Leiden more than a year ago, as far as I know that was already an experimental SMP version but could I believe not use two processors yet on the machine from Fonzy.

Yes,that's right. The Leiden 2006 version wasn't working smp but used a single core only.the remote machine had the core 2 cpu, on 1 cpu it was twice as fast as on my amd, which fooled me thinking otherwiseThe private version of Fruit developed partly by Ryan Benitez and Fabien Letouzey, that played in Leiden more than a year ago, as far as I know that was already an experimental SMP version but could I believe not use two processors yet on the machine from Fonzy.

Marc Lacrosse has the latest beta version, newer and stronger than the versions (061115a and b) Thorsten Czub and i have.It is still non-smp however.
