Computerchess @ Blogger:Prize for prediction Contest :P

Post by swami »

Just created a new google page for chess engines blitz tournament. It is basic and simple.

http://computerchessblogger.googlepages.com/

Yeah by the way,I always used to have notepad while back in school and college that's why I chose notepad as a design :)

As for blog,I will soon create a new blogpage which will have more information about tournaments.

Michael Sherwin the author of Romichess has agreed to my deal about awarding the prediction winner with the Romichess beta tournament special edition. That means you have to participate in predicition contest in Talkchess in order to win, you will be awarded the winner based on total number of points you get in predicition contest. so kindly register your name with me in talkchess or by mail.

Currently These members have registered and have already been predicting the engines to win based on their best guess and sources (ratings lists, tournaments etc)

Tony Thomas
Graham Banks
Michael Sherwin

and it would be fun if more members would join my prediction contest as the tournaments for each division is 1+1 time control,16 engines and it would almost end in 1-2 day(s). :)

It is difficult to get the beta directly from the author if you don't run few tests with the engine and send the author the engine's result,
However If you get it as a prize,You don't have to run tests on beta and send the results and games to the author but instead you can keep it to yourself and run some few games or play against the beta :),Latest Romichess beta is much improved and is about 300 elo more than official version.

If any engine authors find their freeware engine missing, feel free to mail me or send me pm i will add it.

Regards.

Thanks, but I don't know these engines well enough to make sensible predictions.

Hello Swami,
if there's room for another beta you can download one from here:

http://www.ascotti.org/programming/ches ... 43devA.zip

It's basically just Hamsters 0.3 plus some bug fixes, but I need those to make use of any data that comes out of your tournament so it will be great if you could replace 0.3 with this version!

Yes,I can include any number of bugfixed version, Next edition is about to begin tomorrow.starting from Division 8 but with 2 computers,I could use many computers but it seems Quake! is somewhat thrilling than computer chess but computer chess is also cool :)

BTW,Thanks for bugfixed version!
