That link doesn't have executable,only source.Anyway,I have downloaded it and got GNU working in Arena.

Hi Jim,

You took it the wrong way,perhaps I didn't word properly, I meant what the older engine author's site like Alarm,lambchop have,they are all broken links.And as usual you provided me with the good links,Thanks for all that and the GNU chess link you gave did have an executable, but I was not talking about this engine in particular and I was talking about the author pages of other engines which have become extinct and you had provided me with the links to download those freewares,Sorry and Thanks

No apology needed. I misunderstood what you meant.
The subtleties of the English language can sometimes make
a sentence convey a totally different meaning to what is intended.

In this particular case the total opposite :)

What a heck you must download? I have no experience in those directories full of files. I only find a gnuchess readme....
