Rybka will play the same formula with the same time control as their human colleagues Anand, Kasimdzhanov, Aronian and Bacrot in the human top event: a double round-robin, followed by a final on the last day
It would be great if the winner's program play at least 3 games with the human that win the event

In FRC? Easily. Unlike normal chess, I think Rybka could give draw odds and still be a heavy favorite. The novel positions will hurt the GMs more than Rybka.

Agreed.Question is if it can beat any of these GM's with only rook pawn odd.

My pawnpusher friend, Anand would even take Rybka apart in a game of 25 minutes per side in normal chess without any odd. Just because Rybka performance against other chess programs has been excellent, it has never played the best blitz human player in the world.

my patzer friend,Whatever, but that's your opinion
What make you think that Rybka is so powerful to be able to beat Anand with a rook pawn odd? Are you out off your logical mind

PS: I also wish to the Rybka team luck against Joel Benjamin playing vs Rybka with a pawn odd, since Rybka is considered to be much stronger than Deeper Blue and Joel had an excellent 2-0 record against Deep Blue; and Benjamin was one of the key GM in tunning Deeper Blue versus Kasparov. Anyway in my opinion Anand is a much better player than Joel at any given time control and should score better than against Rybka

This is a pure speculation about Anand, the guy was sweaped away by the old program Rebel a long time ago
_No one can hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward….

Whatever,Jorge but you slightly underestimate the strength of Rybka, Hydra did crush Adams by 5.5-0.5,Adams is almost equal to Anand and without the pawn odd there is a good chance that Rybka would defeat Anand and with the pawn odd,the game would be interesting and i bet the score would be equal.
and by the way,Even Fritz which is 300 elo lesser than Rybka can defeat Kramnik in normal chess.
