I was floored when I saw they had a 16GB stick, can't be much longer till they reach 32GB. What maybe two months away. My Hard drive has 29.1 GB worth of tablebases right now. As for faster access, I bet it is.

I found already some 32GB sticks on ebay. They are cheap china productions though, so I do wait until better quality is available.

A good option is solid state hard disk. They are getting quite common and I think you can now get a 64GB SSD for a reasonable price. I think that very soon, most laptops will have SSD's. They use much less power and have higher performance.
The very same drives were more than several thousand dollars just a year or two ago. I expect the prices to drop dramatically as this type of drive becomes standard in laptops. The 64GB is already out ... not sure of the price, but Sandisk and Samsung have some models already out. I would expect tha withing a year, you should be able to get a 64GB SSD for around $300 ... maybe even much less. God bless technology.
