I think that I am going to release a free version of movei only when
I believe that I already have a version that is at least 50 elo better.
The next version that is candidate to be released is version 423
Note that I hope to get 50 elo improvement relative to 423 thanks to hash cutoff and better search.

I do not understand your question (why do you think that it is impossible) but here are more details:BBauer wrote:How is that possible? The next version that is candidate to be released is version 423

version 423 does not use hash for cutoff and does not use some search tricks that hopefully can help it to play better.
Inspite of this version 423 or in other words movei008_423 is about 50 elo better than the free 403 default personality based on the ccrl tests.
First test of latest version support the belief that there is some improvement relative to 423.
result after 32 games at 40/4 was 16.5-15.5 for the latest version and the latest version is about 10-20% slower than it can be because I still did not send it to Dann Corbit and Dann Corbit compiled version 423.
Note that there are later versions than 423 that Dann compiled for me
but I am not sure if they are better or worse than 423 and I decided to test against 423 that is clearly more tested.

So perhaps you mean that version 423 is 50 points stronger than version 403?
Could not understand how version 423 can be stronger than version 432.

I'm fairly sure he means he'll release 423 when he has a version he thinks is at least 50 points stronger than 423.BBauer wrote:So perhaps you mean that version 423 is 50 points stronger than version 403?

423 also seems to be 50 elo better than 403 based on CCRL results.
