I see news abouth births, about dead dogs......and I am wondering....what kind of forum is this??....a chess forum or a family forum?
Recently I read a topic where someone was complaining about quality of the posts....I am begining to give reason to him....
The birth and deceased posts should actually be moved by the moderators to CTF, where they belong.
That there are fewer posts during holiday time is to be expected.
That some have difficulty to come to grips with reality, and keep dwelling on how sad it is that someone has decided to no longer post here, is plain childish. If they feel so strongly about it they should approach the person in question with this, and not annoy the other readers, who have no part in this and cannot change it in any way.

Very sad regards, Dan
Here i would certainly treat certain members diff. from others. If a newbie who came on and made his first post about the birth of his children, or his family life, i would say you have a point. But let me tell you this- i mean no harm- but listen carefully, im only going to say it once. Pete Skinner has_done_as_much_for_this_forum as anyone alive. He has worked tirelessly with no compensation to see that things were run here right. If he wants to make an off topic post about the birth of his first baby girl- IMO he has more than earned that right. And im happy and excited for him. I follow you point, but in this case please let it be.

Besides that, I am interested in posts about death and birth. Life is bigger as only computerchess.
Best wishes,

Sometimes members like to share their news with other forum members.
It doesn't happen that often and it's nothing to grizzle about.

Fully agree except we're talking about dead fishes in a fish tank.
