I understood that yes.
Note that shredder got 3 draws out of 5 games against rybka in FRC and commercial hiarcs could get only 25% against rybka in FRC based on Ray's tests.

I understood that the other participants were not smart enough to bring 64 bit OS with them so rybka had some additional advantage relative to the opponents because I believe that shredder earn 20% speed improvement or something like that from 64 bits.

All participants where aware that we could use an 64-Bit OS, in fact it was clearified a week before the tournament started. I think that they were too lazy to do this, or, like in the case of Spike, do not benefit from an 64-Bit OS.
