The 2nd Annual America's Computer Chess Championship
will be held on the last weekend in October 2007. This tournament
is open to programs by authors with citizenship or living in the
Pan-American region (Greenland to Antarctica).
Registration and more info at
http://www.taccl.org/ACCA2007Championsh ... Champ.html
This tournament will decide the board seatings for the America's
Computer Chess team. That team will play a team match against
a team representing the "Rest of the World". Details in another CCC post.
The team will consist of atleast the top 5 finishers in this tournament.
Current discussions between myself and the captain of the "Rest of the
World" team are leaning toward greater than 10 per team.
The tournament will be online (ICC) and at University of Alabama
Birmingham where atleast 5 of US will gather and participate (Dr. Bob Hyatt,
James Swafford, Brian Richardson, Bruce Wright and myself). More may come.
So, if you are a citizen of or currently living in the Pan-American region,
you are elidgible to enter and please do. The tournament is open to
programs of all strengths.

Re: The 2nd Annual America's Computer Chess Championships
More entries are welcome and Vincent D. and I are seeing
interest for the "Rest of the World" team. So, I hope that more
of the Pan-American authors will enter or get an operator. The
strength of your program doesn't matter - its about meeting
and having fun.
Current list of entries in the Americas (Pan-American) Championship:
Rybka, Crafty, Arasan,
LearningLemming, Now, Symbolic,
Tinker, Prophet, Buzz,
Telepath, NoonanChess, Chess11
and a new program from Andrew Wagner.

Do you have any info about Chess 11? I have never heard of it, may be I should tell Ron Murawksi to add it to his private list.

It was written by Bruce Wright 30 years ago. It is in Fortran.Tony Thomas wrote:Do you have any info about Chess 11? I have never heard of it, may be I should tell Ron Murawksi to add it to his private list.
Bruce is one of the tri-authors from Duke University that wrote
DuChess which took 2nd in the 1977 WCCC and 3rd in the
1980 WCCC.
