When did Rybka first sell separate SP and MP versions?

Post by AGove »

Was Rybka multiprocessor from the start? If so, with what version number did it go into separate MP and SP versions? Was there ever a time when the SP and MP versions were sold at the same price, or rather when one bought Rybka and simply got both versions?

2.0 beta was only sold as MP because nothing else was improved from 1.2.

from version 2.1 there were seperate MP and SP versions.
(I do not consider 2.0beta but only non beta versions).

There was never time that MP and SP were sold at the same price.

Note that no improvement is not the reason that 2.0beta was given only as MP because based on that logic vasik could also give 2.1 only as MP because there is no proof that 2.1 was better than 1.2 as single processor version.

From the ccrl list

Rybka 1.2 32-bit 2976 +18 −17 69.8% −142.3 35.3% 1174
53.2%
Rybka 2.1 32-bit 2969 +23 −23 69.5% −130.1 40.3% 645
53.6%
