copying and moving a chess database?

I'm getting a new computer soon so i'm going to have to copy my database and transfer it to the new computer. Whats the best way to do this? When i look in the folder there is a bunch of different files in it. Do i have to copy all the files inside the folder to transfer my games? Please help. Thanks.

If you use chessbase, It's easy. Left click once on the database icon and then go to tools-database-backup database. This will create one file for you.
