40 moves in 54 minutes repeating (adapted for the CCRL 40/40)
2 cycles (30 rounds)
The bottom three engines are likely to be relegated into Division 2 for the following season.
Updated versions will not be introduced during the tournament.

Pro Deo isn't amateur, nor is Crafty, strictly speaking, even though niether are commercial.

I see no reason not to consider these programs as amateurs.

The definition of amateurs based on the list of participants is
1)not commercial now
2)The latest commercial version or better version is free today(in case it was commercial in the past).

Some programs like Gandalf and Ruffian are not considered as amateur because 2 does not hold.
