Just heard about "Gothic Chess" this week....
Learning the new pieces is tricky and frustrating...
.... Why not just let a person have
say....two Queens, or three knights or three Bishops or three Rooks to start out with?
Increase the playing strength of both sides by giving us more of the same pieces we are already familiar with...!
Why only an 8 X 10 board? Why not an 8 X 12 board?
I see these changes as "the beginning of the end" for those who love regular chess!
