Hi Robert,
a few weeks ago we discussed here Crafty 21.6 which is using cpu-power in eng-eng matches when its not its turn. Here you told us, there will soon be a new version with a switch to avoid this behaviour.
When can we await version 21.7 ?

Hi Werner
May I just add, and then let Chessbase do a version! Please!

Chessbase can do a version when ever they want. Bob doesnt do anything from his side to make the UCI version. You can use crafty under Fritz using WB2UCI anyway.Chris Taylor wrote:Hi WernerWerner wrote:Hi Robert,

Hello Werner, hello together
M. Feist had compiled a chessbase native engine of crafty 21.6 (32bit).
There were some problems because the engine made nonsense moves.
He changed some parts with parts from former versions. I made so testgames with this version, and it seems to work okay. Also there is no cpu used in ponder OFF mode.

It's the same thing, Jim made the mistake first by using the version number 21.06, and it never quite went away.Chris Taylor wrote:HiMurx wrote:Hello Werner, hello together

Re: Crafty 21.7 ?
I think it's intentional. This way, 21.10>21.6 won't confuse users.Chris Taylor wrote:HiMurx wrote:Hello Werner, hello together

Re: Crafty 21.7 ?
It is possible that the crafty crew changed the naming system. Before the release of 21.5, if I remember correctly they had a 0 before the digit unless it was 18.14 or something similar.Vempele wrote:I think it's intentional. There's a 20.9 on the ftp. I think it was released at the same time as 20.14.
