On Viva Media Fritz 10

Hello, Does anybody know how long Chessbase is offering free membership for buyers of the Fritz 10 Viva Media version to their chess server. I will be buying Chessbase chess playing software only for the reason of playing in that server. Otherwise, I would only be content with the Fruit engines for the mean time.

However for this low price you have only 3 free months on playchess .

anyway you have Fritz 10 + Fritz 10 GUI + Fritz10.ctg + 3 free month for $ 19.99

this is not a bad deal

if you have some extra money u should directly go for Fritz 11 around $ 49.99
A +100 elo stronger Chess engine + a new GUI ( i don t see really the difference ) + book + video + 1 year free on playchess

I think I will just buy Fritz 11. I know Fritz 10 Viva Media is an excellent buy but I also wanted to renew my chessbase server subscription. With the stronger engine, I really don't care much about it now. The chess engines have come to a point that they are all very strong. Thanks.

Hi Alfred,

On page 1 (inside front cover) of my viva media F10 manual under section “1.3 Serial number” it states that it gives full year’s access for a single account on the playchess server.

And if I am interpreting the page 13 information correctly you can play for free without registering the serial number for 30 days.

Yes it is. I got it from walmart for 18 bucks and change. Although I did not yet register the serial number.

this is normale like F10 by viva media is only $19

and 1 year on playchess is $ 24.99 or euro

Fair enough. But in page 1 of my manual it clearly says 1 year.

" 1.3 Serial number
On the outside od this DVD case you will find a serial number. The program will ask you to enter it after the installation is completed. This validates your program and makes you eligible for updates and support. It also gives you a full year's access for a single account on the Playchess server (see section 13). Keep your serial number in a safe place. You will need it for future updates. Do not give anyone else access to it - this may cause problems when you upgrade or play chess on the server."

Here you have the complete paragraph. My copy of Fritz 10 is from viva media and it was bought in Canada.

Unles the manual is lying, it should provide 1 year access to playchess.

best is you register your serial number and u will see if this is for 1 full year or not

I know than mine was only for 3 months , That s why I bought F11 too

I know that F10 with chessbase version is 1 full year
maybe u have the manual for F10 like mine from chessbase, however your serial number will probably last only 3 months

anyway people could play on playchess without serial ...

Serial is just for to talk or keep a rating after some months ...

If u just need to play time to time , u could do like guest or create new account every month this is free
