CCT: My last TD adventure

Post by Peter Skinner »

Hello all,

At the end of this year's CCT, I will be passing the reigns over to someone else.

The domain has been renewed for another year, so it can be transfered to who ever takes over the event.

It has been a fun few years doing it, but due to time constraints (My wife and I are about to have a baby.. today's the due date in fact), it is no longer feasible to continue.

If you would like to continue the event after this year, please contact me so I can transfer the domain and pass on website. You can change anything you like of course.

As for this year's event, I have canceled Chess.fm due to costs, but I have to maintain the GM commentary as there were promises made to sponsors regarding coverage, and they have been terrific in supplying everything they said they would.

So if you would like to continue the tournament in future years, please contact me.

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

I think now when you brought big sponsors the toureny has a very bright future and I hope someone manages to continue your work.

I will also be one sorry to see you stop. CCT has been a fascinating event, using the internet to overcome the obvious cost and time limitations of the WCCC, as intended from the beginning. Your role in its success is of course evident to all, and I hope this doesn't spell its doom.

My best wishes to you, your family, and new family addition. Please tell us how that goes!

Warmest regards,

Albert
